As a researcher Vicenzino's passion is within the fields of lower limb musculoskeletal pain and injury, and Lateral Epicondyalgia, known more commonly as Tennis Elbow. Vicenzino has over 100 peer reviewed journal publications, 15 book chapters and over 170 invited presentations and workshops, primarily in musculoskeletal and sports injury related topics, as well as training 16 PhD candidates (8 graduated since 2003). His work on treating patellofemoral pain syndrome with foot orthoses and his research into the use of corticosteroid injection and physiotherapy for tennis elbow, which has been published in high impact journals (BMJ, Sports Medicine, MSSE, BJSM, Rheumatology) underpins his keynote presentations at this ‘Sports Physiotherapy – The Continuum of Care’ symposium.
